BRENT FAIYAZ
Contemporary R&B artist, Brent Faiyaz, is bringing his F*ck The World It’s A Wasteland Tour to the Cosmopolitan for one night only on September 3. Faiyaz’s voice is powerfully crisp and emotive whether he’s hitting falsettos over a hazy beat or the live grooves of his three-piece band or a single acoustic guitar. It’s easy to see why the Maryland native draws comparisons to ’90s R&B stars like Ginuwine, or Slim from 112. And as heard on both his solo albums and especially his work with the trio Sonder, he’s also drawn to the type of lush and percussive beats that Timbaland pioneered. But whether he’s singing the hook on GoldLink’s Grammy-nominated “Crew” or stretching out across the 10 tracks of his boldly inventive 2020 album F*ck the World, Faiyaz is also clearly drawn to the woozy, vibey and sometimes introverted feel of auteurs like the Weeknd, Frank Ocean and Miguel. Tickets for Brent Faiyaz start at $281. Buy tickets.
VAN MORRISON
Rock and Roll Hall of Famer, Van Morrison, will perform at the Bakkt Theater at the Planet Hollywood Resort on September 6, 8 & 9. His latest album, 2012’s Born to Sing: No Plan B, marked his first batch of original songs in five years and was hailed by many critics as recalling his much-heralded recordings of the late ’60s and early ’70s. It peaked at No. 10 on the Billboard 200 chart. Tickets for Van Morrison start at $129. Buy tickets.

COMEDY LEGENDS STEVE MARTIN & MARTIN SHORT
Following their sold-out performances in June 2022, legendary comedians Steve Martin and Martin Short will return to Encore Theater at Wynn Las Vegas with a two-night engagement. On September 22 & 23, the titans of comedy will bring their “You Won’t Believe What They Look Like Today!” tour back to the intimate venue, allowing audiences to experience the iconic duo’s chemistry and stage presence on a more personal level. Martin and Short will be joined by special guests Steep Canyon Rangers and Jeff Babko for both performances. Martin and Short’s subversive and often self-deprecating humor is a reflection of the friendship they have forged both on- and off-stage for over three decades. The masters of comedy have toured together since 2015 when they launched their first live show, “A Very Stupid Conversation.” The jokes in “You Won’t Believe What They Look Like Today!” come at a rapid-fire pace with little set-up and big punch lines as Martin and Short mock Hollywood and the fickle nature of celebrity, but the comedy truly soars when they lovingly (and relentlessly) roast each other. Tickets for Steve Martin & Martin Short start at $150. Buy tickets.
