LADY GAGA ENIGMA + JAZZ & PIANO
See six-time GRAMMY Award-winner, Golden Globe Award-winner and Academy Award-nominee superstar entertainer Lady Gaga’s Las Vegas Residency at Park Theater inside Park MGM resort. The Las Vegas Residency will consist of two separate shows: LADY GAGA ENIGMA, a brand-new odyssey of her pop hits built as an experience unlike any other in Las Vegas, and LADY GAGA JAZZ & PIANO, where she will perform stripped-down versions of her hits alongside music from the Great American Songbook.
Lady Gaga's Las Vegas residency will feature two unique shows in the intimate venue. LADY GAGA ENIGMA is a brand-new odyssey of her pop hits built as an experience unlike any other while LADY GAGA JAZZ & PIANO will feature stripped-down versions of her hits as well as music from the Great American Songbook.
Whether draping herself in a dress made of raw meat at the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards, lowering herself from the ceiling during the 2017 Super Bowl halftime show or taking on Barbra Streisand’s role in a remake of A Star is Born this fall, she is pop’s prime provocateur. In a recently released video from her pre-fame days she stated, “I’m terrified of being average.” She needn’t have worried.
The six-time GRAMMY-Award winner launched her exclusive two-year residency at Park Theater at Park MGM on December 28, 2018. Always one to defy convention, Lady Gaga will offer two different shows for her fans to choose from in the intimate venue: LADY GAGA ENIGMA is a new production designed specifically for Park Theater that offers the superstar’s pop hits in a unique experience, while LADY GAGA JAZZ & PIANO will feature the entertainer performing stripped-down versions of her hits, as well as music from the Great American Songbook. Dates through November 2019 have been announced, with more shows to be added. “I can’t wait to share ENIGMA with all of my fans and with Las Vegas,” said Lady Gaga. “We’re creating a show unlike anything I’ve done before. It will be a celebration of all that is unique and different within us. The challenges of bravery can be overcome with creativity and courage that is grown out of adversity, love and music.”
Lady Gaga first broke the news to her 76 million Twitter followers in December 2017, enthusiastically exclaiming, “The rumors are true! I will have my own residency at MGM Park theater. Get ready for a brand new show!!…I’m so overjoyed!”
For Lady Gaga, her Park Theater residency allows her to follow in the footsteps of her musical heroes. “It's the land of Elvis, Tony Bennett and Frank Sinatra, the Rat Pack, Elton John, Judy Garland and Liza Minnelli. It has been a life-long dream of mine to play Las Vegas,” she said when the residency was initially announced. “I am humbled to be a part of a historical lineup of performers, and to have the honor of creating a new show unlike anything Vegas has ever seen before…you can count on this performer always for one thing … I’ll leave my heart on the stage every single night. Thank you to my fans for always believing in me. Meet me in Las Vegas, baby, we did it!”
As a live act, Lady Gaga has few peers. Her most recent tour, the Joanne World Tour, grossed more than $95 million according to promoter Live Nation. Renowned for her innovative staging, unrelenting energy, versatile showmanship and muscular, robust vocals, Lady Gaga seems destined to entertain.
Born Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta 32 years ago in New York City, Lady Gaga began playing piano at the age of four. She starred in high school musicals, but also performed at open mic nights in the city. Ten years ago, at 22, she released her debut album, The Fame, and it’s hard to remember a time she wasn’t on the musical landscape given how quickly she rose to all-encompassing pop dominance. Her appealing blend of dance music and pop, bolstered by powerhouse vocals and eye-catching visual style, catapulted her to the top of the charts and world renown with the album’s first two singles, “Just Dance” and “Poker Face.” Between The Fame and The Fame Monster – a deluxe version of The Fame with several new songs added – Lady Gaga charted seven Top 10 singles on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart and became a global superstar, selling out arenas around the world.
