Experience an Aquatic Masterpiece - O by Cirque du Soleil

Weaving a tapestry of artistry, surrealism and theatrical romance, O by Cirque du Soleil pays tribute to the beauty of theatre. Inspired by the concept of infinity and the elegance of water, world-class acrobats, synchronized swimmers and divers create a breathtaking experience. Only at Bellagio, Las Vegas.

Cirque du Soleil weaves an aquatic tapestry of artistry, surrealism and theatrical romance in the timeless production, “O”. The international cast of world-class acrobats, synchronized swimmers, divers and characters perform in, on and above water to create a breathtaking experience in a magnificent theatre reminiscent of a European opera house.

"O" by Cirque du Soleil was inspired by the concept of infinity and the elegance of water's pure form. "O" pays tribute to the beauty of performance and the theater. "O" was derived from the pronunciation of "eau", the French word for water.

Highlights include dizzying choreography and powerful gymnastics in the air and on the water. A ghostly ship emerges from the mist. Flyers and catchers display incredible timing. A herd of aquatic zebras swoop and swing on a giant frame in a surreal water dance. The rage of fire and the purification of water are blended into one – and then displayed in this brilliantly visual act. A group of three world class high divers leap 60 feet from the grid level to a small exposed section of the pool, without any fear or hesitation. All of the 150 technicians and 80 cast members have scuba certification; 14 technicians work underwater during every performance.

Fun fact: each performer has several identical costumes that they change into throughout the show, how else do you think they re-appear from their watery plunges bone-dry?

From the guardian sailing along the water on his upside down umbrella to a pyromaniac who takes a calm stroll while combusting into flames, this Las Vegas show has amazed audiences since its inception in 1998, a Las Vegas staple.

    Great entertaining show

I love all Cirque du Soleil shows but to see what they can do with water was incredible. The stunts were amazing and I can’t believe what I was watching. I loved every minute of it and I highly recommend anyone who likes Cirque du Soleil to see this as it’s certainly something different to any other shows I’ve seen!

WOW….was told by a colleague to see this show when we were out in Vegas, and I’m glad that we booked tickets. It is a visual display with an intense dream-like quality that leaves one entranced and mesmerized. I would definitely recommend this show. (Be aware though that if you are in the first 3 rows you may get damped-but all dries by the end!)
