MGM Grand WET Republic[/caption]The MGM Grand’s pool area lives up to its name. The resort’s five pools sit amongst a lush green landscape that truly is “Grand”. The MGM pool deck is over six acres and, like most Las Vegas resorts, hosts a family area alongside an outdoor 21+ day club resort.
Each one of the resort’s five pools is heated and there are three Whirlpools. Each area is handicap accessible too. MGM Grand also offers an overdone lazy river! Guests will be pleased to find over 7,500 feet of lazy river relaxation stretches through scenic views of what locals deem as “The Emerald City on Water”. Inner tubes and rafts are available for a reasonably priced rental fee at the resort’s beach accessory counter.
One great thing about MGM Grand’s pool area is the lockers. Not many Las Vegas resorts have lockers or changing areas designated for guests of their pool, the MGM Grand does! Plus, the each pool has friendly cocktail service, four walk-up bars, and one designated Margarita bar.
MGM Grand boasts Wet Republic for pool guests over 21 years of age. Wet Republic is a trendy hangout for Vegas going celebrities like Kim Kardashian, P.Diddy, Jay-Z, Rihanna, Paris Hilton, and Playboy Playmate Holly Madison. Specialty cocktails, like the White Russian Push-Up Pop, is just one of the many reasons why Wet Republic is the hottest pool party in Las Vegas. Wet Republic has two salt water pools, six waterfalls, and a dance platform for guests to experience the ultimate in outdoor Las Vegas luxury. Hotel and non-hotel guests can indulge in Wet Republic’s VIP lifestyle by renting a cabana. Each cabana is decorated with a king size bed, Nintendo Wii, and mini-refrigerator that boasts top-shelf liquor. Complimentary Wi-Fi is also offered to all guests of Wet Republic.
