Las Vegas has often been described as inimitable. One reason, ironically enough, is that we’ve always been home to the world’s best impressionists.
One of the new stars of impressionistic comedy is master of puppetry Terry Fator. But to call his show at the Mirage a puppet show hardly does it justice.
After winning America’s Got Talent in 2007, Fator has capitalized on his success and done what few could do: Headline on the Strip with a puppet show.
But Fator is no mere puppet master. Better to think of him this way: The best singer on the Strip who doesn’t open his mouth more than half an inch while using puppets and providing one belly laugh after another.
Another can’t-miss impersonator, Frank Marino was, quite simply, made for Las Vegas. Known as the Queen of the Strip, Marino sizzles in Divas Starring Frank Marino. As comic icon Joan Rivers, Marino guides you through a 75-minute show featuring an all-star cast of superstar female impersonators.
Britney Spears, Cher, Diana Ross and Beyoncé all get the Divas treatment. Even Madonna and Dolly Parton have been known to stop by. As the show’s emcee, Marino changes between every act, bringing an international whirlwind of couture to the stage with each spectacular entrance.
Las Vegas will always be the one and only. Even if our comedy makes you do a double take.
