Iconic Strip Resort Unveils New Name SAHARA Las Vegas
Thursday, June 27 marked the dawn of a new era in the evolution of Las Vegas as businessman Alex Meruelo unveiled the return of SAHARA to the world-famous Las Vegas Strip. In a city known for over-the-top spectacle, Meruelo upped the ante with a dramatic announcement event revealing the resort name in a bold display of modern engineering. In a first for Las Vegas, the custom-made production featured a dynamic Intel® Shooting Star TM drone light show, 3D projection mapping and dazzling pyrotechnics display – paving the way for the distinctive return of an icon.
Global Icon Shania Twain Announces Headlining Las Vegas Residency
One of music’s most renowned trailblazers and the top-selling female country artist of all-time, Shania Twain, is returning to the Las Vegas Strip with Shania Twain “Let’s Go!” The Vegas Residency, opening at Zappos Theater at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino on Friday, Dec. 6, 2019. Shania will serve as creative director for her new Las Vegas show, combining her three decade-long career with inspiration from her iconic videos and elements from her 2018 sold out global NOW tour. This country rebel at heart will push the boundaries in Vegas, just as she always has done, taking fans on a journey of nostalgia and blowing them away with outside-the-box concepts and visual spectacles. Tickets go on sale to the public starting Friday, June 21, 2019.
T-Mobile Arena Tours Now Available July and August 2019
Guests can purchase T-Mobile Arena Tours for a 60-minute, behind-the-scenes guided experience through the No. 1 venue on Billboard Magazine’s 2018 Arena Power List and home of the city’s first professional sports team, the Vegas Golden Knights. Ranging from the stage to the cage, T-Mobile Arena is known for hosting more than 100 events annually including major headline entertainment, awards shows, UFC, boxing, basketball and a variety of special events. T-Mobile Arena Tours feature multiple locations throughout the 20,000-seat venue guests may have never seen before while attending an event.

A new Asian restaurant debuts in the Southwest as Jade Asian Kitchen & Noodles opens its doors this June, bringing a new level of upscale cuisine to the JW Marriott Las Vegas Resort & Spa. The opening of Jade Asian Kitchen & Noodles, part of the resort’s 20th anniversary fanfare and renovation, signifies the ongoing commitment to culinary projects at the Summerlin resort. Sixth+Mill Ristorante, Pizzeria & Bar Coming to The Venetian Resort Las Vegas
sixth + mill, the popular pizzeria and bar in Downtown Los Angeles from FactoryPlaceHospitalityGroup is opening its second location at The Venetian Resort Las Vegas. Slated to open September 2019 in the Grand Canal Shoppes, the Southern Italian inspired concept will offer a menu including Neapolitan-style pizzas, pastas, seasonal plates, all specially curated to reflect early memories in the kitchen from Chef Angelo Auriana’s childhood in Italy.

Downtown Grand Hotel & Casino recently welcomed the newest comedy showroom to hit Downtown Las Vegas, The Spare Room, featuring live comedy weekly with Don Barnhart’s Hypnomania and Delirious Stand-up Comedy. The Spare Room represents the first-ever showroom in the near 6-year history of the property and features two shows so funny you’ll lose your mind every Wednesday-Sunday at 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. Located on the ground floor of the hotel near the Art Bar, the new showroom will provide an intimate comedic experience for locals and tourists alike. Jimmy Kimmel’s Comedy Club Officially Launches at The LINQ Promenade
The newest chapter of comedy on the Las Vegas Strip has begun. In partnership with Caesars Entertainment, Jimmy Kimmel’s Comedy Club at The LINQ Promenade was officially launched in June. Jimmy Kimmel’s Comedy Club captures the spirit of classic Vegas with late night shows, surprise guests, high-end casual cuisine and memorabilia. The club will showcase comedians ranging from household names to up-and-coming talent curated by Kimmel and his team in a venue specifically designed by Jimmy. The dual-level 8,000 square-foot venue has an expandable showroom that seats up to 300 guests.
